Forgot about dinner (AGAIN!!)?

—

You forgot to plan dinner. What are you going to do?!?! It’s going to be ok…

Keep these 2 ingredients in your house all the time. Seriously. As soon as you use them up, put them back on the list. This is your emergency meal from now on.

  1. A jar of good pasta sauce
  2. A package of frozen meatballs

You’re welcome.

Is this the cheapest dinner? Nope! But it is a lot cheaper than take out and it is very kid-friendly.

I usually forget dinner until after lunch, not long before I have to pick up the kids from school. I don’t have time to brown meat in the pan etc. I need a literal dump and go crock pot meal that no one will complain about. At our house, this is it!

Any brands will do, but I prefer these Amylu meatballs from Costco:

And Cascone’s Pasta sauce – You want a good sauce so that you don’t have to season the meal. And sorry – I don’t have a picture of the finished dinner. So below is the frozen meatballs on top of the sauce.

Crockpot Meatball pasta

Notes

Seriously that’s it.  Serve over whatever pasta (or veggie!) you have on hand.  Got cheese?  Sprinkle a little on top.

I’m K10, the creator and author behind this blog. I’m a SAHM that struggled for years to find peace and purpose in this role. It took me a long time to believe and trust that this is what God was calling me to do. Those bumps and bruises along the way are what have inspired me to reach out to other moms struggling to accept her new SAHM life, and the mom’s who are considering this life as her family’s path. My hope is that the stories and tips that I share here encourage you, remind you that you’re not alone, help inspire you to keep going. You’re going to be OK.
