New Christmas wreath

Quick reminder: I’m not a professional photographer. 😉

I wanted a new wreath for our front door and had been seeing some cute fall ideas using flat baskets. When I spotted one at the thrift store for $2, I knew exactly what I wanted to do!

I hopped on Pinterest for inspiration but couldn’t quite find what I was looking for. I’m pretty simple when it comes to crafting — nothing too over the top or complicated. Lots of pretty ideas out there, just not quite my style.

Lots of pretty ideas, just not for me. So, I came up with this:

This little project worked perfectly — and it only cost me about $5 total!

  • The bottle brush trees are from Dollar Tree.
    • The taller one came by itself.
    • The two smaller ones came from a pack of three in the fairy garden section.
  • The ribbon is a pretty velvet one I bought last year, but Dollar Tree has some great ribbon you could grab for about $1.50.

I literally just hot-glued them on there. I bent the bases of the trees back like this:

I tied the bow with a pipe cleaner I already had, but you could also use a zip tie. Then I hot-glued it to the center base to cover where the trees meet.

Voilà!

I might go back and add some fairy lights later. But for now — it is what it is. Cute, simple, and only $5!

My hope is that the stories and tips that I share here encourage you, remind you that you’re not alone, help inspire you to keep going. You’re going to be OK.
